Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational commitment and leadership style on employees’ performance through motivation as intervening variable at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan. This study used associative method. The population of this study were employees of the human resources department of PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan and the sample were 45 employees. The instruments of this study was using the questionnaire and interview. The techniques of testing hypothesis by using the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, t test, f test, determination test and path analysis test. The results showed that organizational commitment partially had a positive and significant effect on employees’ performance at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan. The leadership style partially had a positive and significant effect on the employees’ performance at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan. Organizational commitment affected employees’ performance through motivation at PT. Perkebunan Nusantara III Medan. Leadership style affected employees’ performance through motivation at PT.
